The Isle of the Eyes is an intriguing optional area hidden within the world of Clair Obscur: Expedition 33. Players seeking to fully explore the map and claim valuable endgame loot will want to make a stop at this distinctive cliffside island. Understanding how to reach the island and solve its core environmental puzzle ensures a swift and rewarding journey.

Finding the Isle of the Eyes Location

To reach the Isle of the Eyes, players must progress to Act 3 of the main story. Accessing the island requires unlocking Esquie's flying ability to travel across the sky map. The island itself sits to the northwest of Visages and northeast of The Reacher.

Upon landing, adventurers will find an Expedition Flag near the entrance to set as a landmark. The surrounding cliffside features distinctive red grass, towering stone statues, and winding paths. Preparing your party for strategic combat beforehand is highly recommended before diving deeper into the zone.

Solving the Three Eyeballs Puzzle

Exploration on the island is initially blocked by a shattered, disconnected bridge mechanism. To reconstruct the bridge, players must locate and shoot three hidden eyeballs scattered around dead Nevron structures. Finding all three targets requires careful observation of the surrounding environment and vertical spaces.

The first eyeball can be spotted by walking up the main stone steps near the entrance. The second target hangs from the ceiling inside a small covered cave section located right above the Petank altar. After shooting the third hidden eye, the broken bridge will realign automatically, opening the path to the main arena.

Defeating the Boss and Claiming Rewards

Crossing the newly restored bridge leads players directly into a confrontation with the Chromatic Boucheclier boss. This opponent relies heavily on rapid sword combos and shield counters to pressure your team. Targeting its natural weaknesses to Fire and Dark elements will significantly shorten the encounter.

Defeating the Chromatic Boucheclier awards exclusive items including the Facesum weapon designed for Maelle. Players also secure Grandiose Chroma Catalysts and Colour of Lumina for character upgrades. Completing this challenge brings you one step closer to 100% completion across the entire game world.
